Andy's newly-granted designation enables our clients to have the highest confidence that the specified surface preparation and coatings are being applied correctly to the manufactuers' application criteria. All specified inspection criteria involved in any coating process is being overseen by certified individuals.
This certification, along with the Society of Protective Coatings, Protective Coating Specialist (SSPC PCS) certified individual helps to review specifications and propose alternative surface preparations, coatings and recommendations to meet the client requirements.

Mr. John Beingessner was appointed President of Aberfoyle Metal Treaters Ltd., effective April 1, 2014. John joined Aberfoyle in 2010 as Vice President & COO. Prior to that, John served as President of B&W Heat Treating Ltd. in Kitchener, Ontario from 2004 to 2010 and served that company in various management positions for a total of 24 years.

We are proud to announce that our Canadian Controlled Goods Certificate has been renewed for another five years.
This certificate is a Canadian government assurance that Aberfoyle Metal Treaters has the security procedures and abilities to handle materials and parts for military applications. The certificate also gives us the clearance to do work under the US ITAR program (International Traffic in Arms Regulations - a set of US government regulations that controls the export and import of defense-related items and services). This certification will open the door to many potential new contracts for Aberfoyle involving military products.

Aberfoyle Controlled Goods Certificate Renewed



In January, we treated steel plates measuring 27 feet in length and weighing in at 40,000 lb. Using Furnace #1 and our 40,000 gallon quench tank, we heat treated and quenched several of these slabs.
